The Wall Street Journal reports that Air Force Research Laboratory has contracted with a company to use smartphones as sniffers for IoT devices. Their article is probably behind a paywall.

Dr. Chung Haung Liu, known to everyone as Dave, has passed. Dr. Liu founded the field of real-time systems with the 1973 paper he wrote with James Layland, as well as many other technical contributions to an impressive range of fields.
