Atlanta Airport Power Outage

CNN Money reports here on the power outage at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.  This report indicates that backup power lines were in a tunnel adjacent to the main lines.  A fire in the main line tunnel acted as a single point of failure that allowed the destruction of both mains and backups.  Limited circulation in the tunnel, combined with the dangerous fumes created by burning electrical equipment, delayed the entrance of personnel.
